Personal Journey
All human beings are on a journey of self-discovery. Mine took a definitive turn on May 5, 2005 (5-5-05).
I began the week watching a TV series about becoming a Woman of God. I wanted that. I wanted to be a Woman of God. I paused and took a look at my life. Yeah whatever. Who was I kidding? The life I had lead was all but stellar. Why I had my first child when I was only 16!
On that fateful morning, I was in the bathroom fixing my hair and make-up. I owned a hair and nail salon back in those days. I heard something at the back door. I figured the dog wanted to go outside only to discover the dog followed me to the door! I looked out and sitting on the door stoop ledge was a mourning dove. We watched each other for a bit. He bobbed his little head back and forth and after approximately five minutes, flew away. That was cool! Back to the hair and makeup I go. Again, I heard something at the back door. This time two mourning doves were sitting opposite of where the first one had sat. We watched each other for a few minutes before they flew off. Double cool!
I had to share this moment with someone and decided to call my Mom. She reminded me that doves are a sign from the Holy Spirit. Why I knew that! Okay, I knew it but didn’t realize it until she said it.
Shortly after that, I started reading “Divine Guidance” by Doreen Virtue. This got me pondering on the way to the salon. I thought that if all this stuff were real, then I would see a white dove. No sooner had I finished the thought, I noticed up on the wires was a flock of mourning doves. Nothing unusual about that except in the middle of all the gray ones was a white one.
Well would you look at THAT.
I picked up “Ask and It Is Given” by Esther & Jerry Hicks. The second reading it made much more sense. I started to view the world in a very different manner. Yes, Suzi, it really is that simple, I discovered.
I have been on a fast learning cycle and at times it left my head spinning! The easiest way is really the simplest one. I can show you the hallways. You choose which doors you want to open.
I want to extend my appreciation and gratitude to all those who have paved the way for those of us here now. Thank you for showing me the hallway.
Peace & Angel Blessings,
